Due to one of our actors dropping out, we had to change our storyboard quite a lot. We changed it form a love and break up story where the boy moves on to a love and break where the girl moves on but isn't happy with her new boyfriend and misses her old one, we changed it by using a different actor but using the same setting to show to the audience that she misses him and doesn't want to be with her new boyfriend, we also changed the bit were she is looking out a photo of her old boyfriend with his new girlfriend because it wouldn't work as we swapped the roles, so we added in more green screen singing shots and more shots of her with her new boyfriend.
We also couldn't get to the beach location to film part of the video there, that is another reason as to why we had to change the actors and therefore change the storyboard.
Our changes did set us a bit behind schedule but we are a devoted team that worked hard together to catch up the time that we had lost, although we could not produce our original ideas, our new ones where just as creative and we felt we still made a successful video and added a new meaning and interpretation on the video which could relate to more people.

Alterations made along the way. Alexandra Hobbs
Some of the alterations we have had to make in the process are changing the filming schedule, we had to delay some of the shooting for various reasons such as some people couldn't make a certain date.
Other alterations made are the costumes we have changed what we wanted the main singer to wear so that it would be more suitable to the music genre.
We also had to change some of the music video story because we were unfortunately let down with one of our actors, so we kindly asked someone else if they could be in it instead as we were running short of filming time.
Due to changing the story board we also had to change our animatic video to fit with the changes.
Although we had to change a few things from what we originally wanted to do, we felt the changes made along the way helped us develop a more relate able video for our target audience.

Health and Saftey
During our music video we may come across many different Health and Safety issues, we have to make sure that we are fully aware of what is around us and how to deal with it whilst filming. We have four places in which we will be filming; St Peters School for green screen shooting, NewLands Corner, A House for bedroom and a few other shots and The Beach. There are different thing we will have to be careful for, whilst using the green screen, we must make sure everything is safely attached and not in the way of anything or anyone to course potential harm or damage. Whilst at NewLands Corner we must make sure we are not in the way of the general public to cause annoyance and the weather could also be a problem here, we must make sure we are equipped if we suddenly have rain. Also NewLands Corner is very hilly and uneven we must make sure we are careful with equipment, not to drop or break it whilst filming. When filming in a house or bedroom, there are not many problems that will occur but the normal checks just to make sure nothing is in the way when filming and the equipment and everyone is safe. At the beach we must make sure that the equipment doesn't get wet either from the potential rain or water from the sea, also to make sure sand doesn't affect the equipment and that all of the actors are safe if entering the water, also the general public, we must be aware of them and to make sure we don't cause annoyance again. These are the general Health and Safety procedures we just have to make sure we follow them and we will be safe whilst filming.

Record company name/profile logo
The music industry, a record label is a brand and a trademark associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos. There are many different record label's all over the world for all types of genre within the music industry for example;Polydor, Island, Sony, Def Jam, Big Machine Records, Syco, Universal and Warner Brothers. We have decided to use the record label company Big Machine Record because this is the company that signed Taylor Swift and she is are inspiration and role model throughout so we are going to stick by her and go for the same record label company, also they specialize in our chosen genre of county music so it would be prefect.
Big Machine is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and is distributed by Universal Music Group. The label has one Grammy for Album of the Year, awarded to Fearless from Taylor Swift.
In November 2007, Big Machine Records founded a subsidiary imprint called Valory Music Group. Acts signed to this roster include Jimmy Wayne (who was formerly signed to Big Machine), Jewel, and Justin Moore. By late 2008, the label began promoting Canadian acts Adam Gregory and Emerson Drive, who are also signed to Midas Records. Big Machine ended promotion for the two artists in 2009. Reba McEntire joined Valory in 2009, in association with her own label, Starstruck.
Big Machine joined with Universal Republic in June 2009 to found a new label, Republic Records Nashville.

still Frame Analysis - Alexandra Hobbs
Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
This first still frame shows the main singer turning around in slow motion, this introduces him to the audience, after this it has sharp cuts of clips of whats about to happen in the music video before he then jumps into the pool in front of him and as he does this it uses the effect of slow motion to show that it could be a memory as when hes under the water he puts his hands on his head as if he were thinking perhaps about a wrong decision he had made. As this starts off in slow motion then has clips that are fast and quickly cut together then returns to slow motion, it could give the audience an insight into how the song is going to be.
The setting is in various places it starts in a country club style place for wealthy people, as it shows people sitting on sun beds and there are waiters with drinks walking around the place. There is also some shots of the two women who are the focus of the video shopping together, as a memory of the singers, It also goes to a club where the band is playing, which then introduces the rest of the band, after this towards the end of the song it returns back to the country club place, It starts where it ends to show the audience it could have been memories of the singer.
This has heavily influenced our music video as we used various flashback throughout as memories and it also ends where it starts with her looking through the scrap book

Within this music video there are not that many characters within the story being told, there is the main singer, he is first introduced at the start in a slow motion shot of him turning around this could show to the audience that he may have done something bad and is turning to look back as a person, we can tell it is a serious matter with his facial experssion being very serious. The next people to be introduced are his girlfriend and an older woman which he is attracted to they are shown in the fast cuts after he has turned around at the very start, showing them in fast cuts could connote to the audience that they are a memory on his mind because it contrasts with his slow motion shot. There is also one more character within this music video and thats the older womans husband who is first seen ignoring her which makes the audience empathise with her and understand more why she goes off with the main signer because she wants attention and to be loved, he is then later seen hitting her at the Club in slow motion to create a more emotional impact on the audience.
Within this music video props arent used that much, there is drinks and sunbed at the Club and a car when he is sitting watching the girls shop, and when they are performing they have all of there instruments with them. The Costumes in this music video for the older woman were sophisticated compared to the younger girl who was more casual. The male character was in a casual top and trousers compared to the older man who looked smart with his hair combed and gelled back this shows status within the video.
When the band was playing there was a long shot to show all of them, but mainly they used close ups so that the audience could see each memeber, and there was a close of there instruments aswell.
Throughout this music video although a range of shot types were used it was mainly close ups of eyes for example at the end of the video this shot was also used with a fade effect over another clip at the very beginning which shows the audience it was a memory. Also using close ups a lot you can see the emotion in the characters faces and the hurt in their eyes. At the end it was a shot reverse shot of the young girls eyes and the man looking back but whilst with the older woman.

9 Frame Still Analysis - Alexandra Hobbs
Taylor Swift - Back To December
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUwxKWT6m7U&ob=av2e
This first shot is an opening shot so is a long shot showing the setting of the video, as it is called back to december it is looking back on the past and so it shows the snowy weather. Having this shot to establish the setting is common in most Pop Country genres as most of them tell a story which the target audience can relate to.
The 7th image is another close up of her putting a note into his jacket, which he has been wearing for the whole of the video, this shows to the audience what she has been doing is in the past, maybe back in December before things went wrong. It could also show what the male part has been thinking the whole video, thinking and hoping she has been feeling the same way as him perhaps. The use of a mid shot is to show distinctively that it is his jacket. The note is also a very love struck teenage thing to do which also helps to relate to their target audience who may be going through similar troubles.
The 9th and final shot is a long shot of him walking away from the School field, this is very much like the start of the music video, as it started with him walking across to a field and that was also a long shot. Also this shot could suggest to the audience that he is going to find the girl after perviously finding the note to make things right again. This repetition may be useful in the telling of the story which is the main thing that this type of genres music videos are about.

Having this shot to establish the setting is common in most Pop Country genres as most of them tell a story which the target audience can relate to.
In the second shot it is a close up shot of her singing, throughout most of this music video whenever she is singing it is usually a close up of her lips and mouth, i think this may be to show that she means the words that she is coming out with also being able to see her facial experssions brings the emotion of the song out more within the video. Her clothes are light brown, beige colours which links with her background as it is light outside of her because of the snow.
The Third still frame is of her on her sitting alone on her bed. This is a long shot to show her looking down and upset and alone reminiscing about how things used to be, it portrays the emotion behind the song and the story of the video as well. This shows she is going through heartache which her audience feel that they can relate to.
The fourth picture is a close up of her love interests eyes looking forward thinking about the past or so the lyrics to the song suggest. This close up shows the upset and thought that is behind his eyes. He is also dressed in brown colours but are darker than Taylor's clothes to maybe contrast the different emotions they are both feeling as he wants to move on but she is stuck on his mind just as she also cant stop thinking about him.
The fifth image is of her love interest from behind sitting with his head in his hands, possible realising his mistake of leaving her and that he still loves her and misses her. Having him placed centre helps to show the mise - en - scene of the snow around him and the setting of a school American football field, this show the viewer the target audience is more likely to be teenagers which is common for most Pop Country genres.
The 6th still frame shows a long shot of an empty table and 2 chairs showing a memory that she misses from being with him and the snow represents the December part of it, when there relationship was good and happy and how time has passed and she hasn't moved anything because she wants to preserve the memory that was once there. This is telling a story as the clips link to the lyrics that are being sung, which we have found is very common in this genre so we have taken that into consideration when making our music video.
The 7th image is another close up of her putting a note into his jacket, which he has been wearing for the whole of the video, this shows to the audience what she has been doing is in the past, maybe back in December before things went wrong. The note is also a very love struck teenage thing to do which also helps to relate to their target audience who may be going through similar troubles.
The 8th still frame shows him sitting on the stands finding the note, again this is a close up.This particular close up could connote to the audience that him finding the note after missing her throughout the video is fate and that he should still be with her, which is what most of the target audience that are going through a similar situation hope will happen to them. Using close ups seeming to be a reoccurring thing in this music video which we will have to take into consideration when we storyboard our video.
The 9th and final shot is a long shot of him walking away from the School field, this is very much like the start of the music video, as it started with him walking across to a field and that was also a long shot. Technical Difficulties. - Alexandra Hobbs
When creating our music video we did not come across many technical difficulties, but we did face some.
With the Camera the battery life did not last very long when filming.
Some of the difficulties we faced were when editing mainly, we found it difficult to silhouette, it took us a while but we eventually figured out how to do it.
another difficulty when editing was to make sure there was no green around the singer on the green screen shots.
And that was all the technical difficulties we faced.

Costume Planning
This will be the complete outfit worn by the lead singer and female actress when singing on green screen only. A printed white t-shirt with a guitar, brown boots and dark blue skinny jeans. We decided to chose this because our music type is indie/pop/country and this is a typical outfit that a female teenager would wear and also goes with our video with the use of a guitar and this is why we decided on the chosen t-shirt. Worn by Mercedes Sayles.
This will be the complete outfit worn by the lead singer and female actress when singing when shooting the beach and Newlands corner scenes. A printed white t-shirt that says "To be or not to be that is the question" William Shakespeare inspired, white converses and light blue skinny jeans. We decided on this outfit because it fits the mood of a romantic love scene or break up. The t-shirt shows both sides just like our music video. Also its just a casual outfit and this is what we want, a normal everyday outfit with a bit of an edge and we believe that the t-shirt will because of showing both side to a love story just like William Shakespeare did. Worn by Mercedes Sayles.
This could be the outfit worn by the backing singer/guitar player and other female actress. Three possible dresses very girly made of lase and very natural colours, with black leggings and flat ballet pumps. We decided on possible using these as an outfit because we want her to look girlie and more attractive than the other female actress showing the audience that she has the edge and she will win the love interest also so it shows her as innocent. Worn by Chloe Alldis.
This could be the outfit worn by the love interest. Smart shirt, branded t-shirt pale/dark jeans and red/black and white vans. We decided on possible using these as an outfit because we want him to look stylish and attractive as he is the love interest and this is a very typical teenage male outfit, also its casual/smart and this is the effect we want, we need him to look good and appealing. Worn by Jamie Barnes.

Convention Of Our Genre
Taylor Swift
We have done a lot of research in our genre of music and the best artist that we have found that best fits with our chosen song is Taylor Swift. Her music is very similar to ours, it is county pop and uses a guitar very heavily. The videos are mainly narrative with a hint of performance. They are also very personal to Taylor and she tends to write about personal experience. The video 'Mine' is a personal love story about a break up and make up. The video focuses on past experiences of being a child and watching her parents break up and she feels she will go though the same thing. The video has lot of close up on photos hanging on a line in the trees and as the pictures are focused on, it relates to the lyrics. The video has been very carefully put together and its like a mini story almost. Taylor Swift has very precise videos, she knows what her audience likes and she delivers similar all the time. Her target audience is mainly females in the teenage bracket and this is why she try's to make her videos as relate able as she can. She try's to cover story's that younger people go though everyday so people find it easy to relate to her music videos.
